The Federation does not field SSBNs or any sea-based strategic nuclear deterrent. Per Europan canon, WMDs are space-based kinetic systems (Outer Space Demilitarization Protocols-banned); nuclear technology is used for power generation only.
Future technology track
The Federation is the lead investor in next-generation autonomous and AI-augmented systems on Europa. Late-decade procurement is trialing Anduril-class and Shield-AI-class platforms in tactical reconnaissance, loitering munitions, counter-UAS, and autonomous maritime roles. None are at production scale yet; they are listed here for forward reference.
