The world

The world of Europa is a continent-rich planet with five major continents and a number of smaller islands. The Sierran Conflict is the active war on the central continent of Sierra — the present-day stage of three centuries of great-power rivalry.

  Central stage of the Continental Wars and the current Continuation War. Home to Arcadia, Choktovakia, Gorlund, Volnia, Rakutania, CSAT, Livonia, Chartania, Aegira, and the Black Mountain Protectorate.

• Brassica

  Colder northern continent, dominated by the rivalry of the Leipzisch Kaiserreich, the Republic of Velicuse, and the Union of Thumbrian Soviet Republics.

• Caldoria

  Warm, arid-to-tropical southern continent. Home to the Sur'Bari Sultanate, Empire of Mahasrana, and other Caldorian states.

• Magnolia

  Continental mainland and long island arcs. Home to the Xianren Federation, the Hinomuran Federation, and the Pelawan / Telinor archipelagos.

• Meridiana

• Ultimera

  Polar continent at the far south of Europa, surrounded by the Ultimal Ocean. Subject to international treaty regimes.

History

The Continental Wars are the three-century chain of great-power conflicts that produced today's geopolitical order. Two wars are active in Sierra right now:

• Continuation War (2026–) — WDP (Arcadia, Gorlund) vs. ESA (Rakutania, CSAT) on the Gorlish front.
• Volnian Civil War (2025–) — internal Volnian fight between the SRA and VIAF, with foreign advisors on both sides.

The Treaty of Chartania (1972) ended the third Continental War and underpins today's international order.
